Sarah's educational background in Interior Design & Architecture (Miami Ohio), Historic Preservation (UPenn), and Real Estate Design & Development (Wharton), as well as numerous studies abroad in Europe serve to continually influence her ever-evolving design aesthetic. A lifelong learner, she has developed a special passion for the study of historic interiors, and has been recognized for outstanding scholarship.
With nearly two decades of industry experience, Sarah has developed an extensive skillset in design development, sourcing, client relationships, and project management. Her extensive knowledge of furnishings and textiles as well as custom furnishings and architectural features informs her bespoke and detail-oriented approach to the curation of specialty interiors.
Sarah began her career in the early 2000's with AD100 designer Juan Montoya. In 2013 she joined the nascent BHDM to develop their residential division where under her direction, the firm has come to enjoy national recognition and publication. She has also served as an adjunct professor of Historic Preservation in the Interior Design department at the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York.
